Hello, and Welcome to Moviephone!

This week, I have seen two of the absolutely most completely opposite movies that I think I could have possibly seen in a week. Saturday night, my wife and I finally used our gift certificates to the movies. It was here that I decided that I have a new favorite movie. This one even passes up The Fox and The Hound. Curious George is the most adorable movie ever. Granted, you have to leave your mind at home, and be entertained by five year old humor. If you can do that, it is worth leaving all you troubles at home for an hour or so. I haven't giggled like that, for that long, in quite some time. And I guess this was certificate week, as we also used the Blockbuster gift card that we got for Christmas. The Blockbuster card was used to rent North Country. Wow, this was a movie. Such a dramatic change from a cute little monkey! It tears me up to know that this world was not only quite like that, but in many respects has not changed that much. Although there are many numerous laws to protect everyone, there is still so much that gets swept under the rug.
But as I have mentioned in the past, I like to have balance, and I don't think it gets too much farther on either end of the scale than the week of movies I have had!
