The epidomy of boredom
I really wish that this could have been done exactly the other way around. Being sick, and basically stuck in the house, I have gotten rather bored. That is while I have been awake. Thankfully, the awake part has been few and far between thanks to my wonderful cough syrup loaded with Codine, yeah! Anyhow, I found a trial version of Windows Virtual PC, which in essence allows you to run another operating system inside a window of your current operating system. I have always been a big fan of Linux, even before it was widely popular as it has become. My distro of choice is Mandriva, formerly known as Mandrake. So, I downloaded the trial version, which I have yet to find a crack for to make it no longer "trial" and I installed Mandriva 10 in VPC session. If only I could install Windows XP in a VPC session within Linux, I would be a very happy camper indeed. If anyone knows a way to do this, please feel free to comment.
On another note, I am at least feeling a bit better. I managed to stay awake most of the night, which is a good thing for me. Now, if I can get some good sleep today, and get my schedule back on track, then I might be able to get to work on Friday. If not, no worries, I have plenty of sick time remaining, and a mini-vacation couldn't hurt.
